Terms of Sale

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These terms apply when you buy a book from jubixstudios.com. Please read them before you place an order. By completing checkout you agree to them.

1. Who you are buying from?

Jubix Studios Inc.
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

support@jubixstudios.com

2. Where we ship?

We ship to addresses in the United States only. Your billing address may be in Canada or the United States, but the delivery address must be in the United States.

If you are in Canada, our books are also available on Amazon.ca: Mia and the Sunbeam Friends and The Sunbird Trilogy. Purchases made through Amazon are a contract between you and Amazon and are governed by Amazon’s terms, not by these terms.

3. Prices

All prices are in United States dollars (USD). The price shown on the product page is the price of the book. Shipping is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.

If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts the amount and may add its own fee. We have no control over that rate or that fee.

We do not currently collect sales tax on orders. If a tax applies to your order, it will be shown at checkout before you pay.

We try to keep prices accurate. If a book is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will tell you if this happens.

4. Placing an order

Adding a book to your cart is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete checkout and your payment is authorized. The contract between us is formed when we send you an order confirmation email.

We may decline or cancel an order if the book is unavailable, if we cannot take payment, if the delivery address is outside the United States, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel, you are refunded in full.

5. How your book is made?

Every book is printed to order. We do not hold stock. Your book does not exist until you order it, and it is printed on 150gsm coated art paper by our printing partner in the United States and dispatched directly to you.

Because each book is made for your order, we cannot accept returns simply because you changed your mind. Please see our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Cancelling an order

You can only cancel an order if it has not yet gone to print. Printing usually begins very soon after you order, so this window is short and we cannot promise it will still be open when you write to us.

To try to cancel, email support@jubixstudios.com straight away with your order number. If the book has already gone to print, we cannot cancel it, but your rights for a damaged or faulty book still apply in full.

7. Delivery

Printing usually takes 3–5 working days before dispatch. Transit time then depends on the delivery option you choose: UPS Ground is usually 1–5 business days, and USPS estimates 2–8 business days for Media Mail. See our Shipping & Delivery page for detail.

Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Once your parcel is with the carrier, its progress is outside our control.

If we cannot ship within the time stated when you ordered, or within 30 days if no time was stated, we will contact you. You may then agree to a new shipping date or cancel your order for a full refund. If we cannot reach you, we will cancel the order and refund you.

Please check your shipping address carefully. We cannot redirect a parcel once it has shipped. If a parcel cannot be delivered because the address was wrong or incomplete, your book will need to be printed again. We can send a replacement once you have paid the cost of reprinting and the new delivery, or we can refund the price of the book less the delivery cost already incurred.

8. When a book is damaged or wrong?

If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or is not the book you ordered, we will replace it or refund you. The details, including the time limit and what we need from you, are in our Returns & Refunds policy.

9. Copyright

The text, illustrations, cover art and website content are owned by Jubix Studios Inc. or used by us under licence. Buying a book gives you the book. It does not give you the right to copy, reproduce, scan, distribute, perform publicly for commercial purposes, or create adaptations of it.

Reading our books aloud at home, in a classroom or at a library story time is welcome and needs no permission from us. For anything beyond that, including recording a reading and publishing it, please write to support@jubixstudios.com.

10. Reviews and anything you submit

If you post a review on our site, you confirm it is your own honest opinion and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. We check reviews before publishing them and may decline to publish or may remove anything abusive, unlawful, or unrelated to the book. By posting, you give us permission to display your review on the site.

11. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for supplying the book you ordered, in the condition described. If we fail to do that, we will replace the book or refund you.

Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a gift not arriving in time for an occasion. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier disruption, industrial action, equipment failure at the printing facility, or interruptions to power or the internet. If such an event causes a significant delay, we will contact you and you may cancel your order for a full refund.

13. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Nothing in this section takes away any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page at the time you placed it.

16. Contact

Questions about an order, or about these terms: support@jubixstudios.com. We answer during business hours, Monday to Friday, and aim to reply within two business days.
